* Hiway Robber *
This casting was confirmed in December, 2005 with the discovery of a light blue Hiway Robber with CIPSA metallic redline wheels.
A second Hiway Robber came out of the Gorin collection.
It is lacking the metallic redlines entirely. Otherwise the wheels are identical to the light blue car.
As compared to a normal HK '73, both pieces exhibit these characteristic differences:
* Clear Glass vs Blue Glass
* Sliding Roof where there should be none
* Big wheels in front
* CIPSA Wheels
As is typical of CIPSA's, the base is labeled HK and the rivet spins are odd.
Two other Hiway Robbers from a mexican collection were sold on eBay in May 2005, one in blue and another in red.
There are no visible characteristics which distinguish them as different from the HK versions.
It is possible that Mattel shipped finished surplus cars to CIPSA for repackaging and sale.
