Diagnostic Characteristics:

The red Porsche P917, pictured above, is the finest example found to date.
Lesser condition pieces have been found in several other colors.
The most obvious difference between the CIPSA P917 and the domestic P917 is the paint color and texture.
The glass and interiors also differ but the differences are more subtle.

History:

The first known P917 was a gold one. A number of others have surfaced since then.
A total of 6 are known as of December 2009, with the finding of the red enamel piece.
